An open- elective assignment where we designed and created a furniture prototype and wove the entire seating with cotton threads over a period of 2 weeks. This assignment gave me material and technical exposure , it was a very fun experience.

This simple design replaces the traditional side-to-side swing of a hammock with the forward and backward motion synonymous with the rocking chair. After deciding on our rocking chair-hammock idea, we began to build the frame from metal and researched different weaving methods we could use for the seat.
